A handful of long, ambient motifs built of electronically edited piano playing coming off this Teotl Expansion EP, P:1. While, on paper, the musical concept of this EP seems pretty simple–and, uh, well, it is–the final result is something that’s actually pretty hypnotic and beautiful. It’s got the straightforward and basic delivery of a Brian Eno ambient work, but looks to incorporate the kind of subtly rough textures Tim Heck is famous for incorporating into his albums.
