Iguanadon- "Dream Melter"

A track from the new pay-whatever-you’d-like-to-own Iguanadon album, Thunder Village. It’s titled “Dream Melter,” and what really grabbed by attention about the track is how its beat is edited with some abrupt stutters from time to time. The tempo even fluctuates a bit, adding some interesting detail.

The opening synth melody is as cute as it is robotic, and the track progresses until its a psychedelic wall of synth phrases. There’s a nice break in the middle that gives way to a slick solo, too. It’s a nice combination of experimental electronica and SNES-era video game music.

What do you think?
