Last month, I talked up some live videos from Canada’s Bad Bad Not Good, which is a young jazz trio of sorts.
I’d call them “jazz fusion,” but that hardly addresses what they’re fusing together. Rather than welding jazz with some rock or funk, BBNG sounds like they pick up a lot more from the world of hip hop–especially considering how much of this EP is build of Odd Future beat medleys.
