Since their debut full-length dropped, I’ve considered Ganglians to be one of the most interesting groups to take pop to a psychedelic, messy, and lo-fi level. There’s an atmosphere around their music similar to that of Woods, but I find their songs to be what really keeps my interest. It’s an odd mixture of primal guitars and drums, which are sweetened with bright pop hookery.
On “Jungle,” the band keeps their style strong with Tarzan-esque choruses and thumping floor toms. It’s an incredibly fun listen.
The track comes from the band’s forthcoming LP, Still Living, which is set for an August 23rd release via Lefse.
