The Texan duo Fergus & Geronimo are still at that stage where they’re yet to completely define their sound, but after hearing the “Never Satisfied” / “Turning Blue” single from them earlier this year, I’m ready to listen to anything these guys put out, literally.

Next year, they’ll be dropping their debut album, Unlearn, on Hardly Art, and the band recently released a track from it: “Powerful Lovin’.” Here, F&G maintain the lo-fi sound from their previous tracks, but bring it down a familiar road with some classic soul sounds. I’m diggin’ the song a lot, but I can’t shut off “When A Man Loves A Woman” in the back of my head when it plays. See if you have the same problem:
