On “My Life,” Kevin Parker completely abandons Tame Impala’s revivalist, psychedelic rock roots in favor of the sound of his collaborator, EDM producer ZHU. Other than his distinctive voice, it’s difficult to hear any clear influence from Parker over the track. The song is slow, smooth and spacey.
