Here we go. My top five favorite Latin records of 2025. Let's do it.
At Number Five, we are going with the new Silvana Estrada LP, Vendrán Suaves Lluvias. She still has one of the best voices on the scene, and there are some absolutely positively gorgeous songs on this record.
At Number Four, we are going with the new Bad Bunny album. When it comes to the mainstream of Latin pop and hip hop and so on and so forth, few people are pushing the envelope in the way this guy continues to.
At Number Three, we are going to go with Gaby Amarantos's Rock Doido. Gabby, I think, is one of the most exciting artists on the Brazilian scene today. And this new album from hers is just this completely never-ending, exciting, thrilling, mind-blowing, holistic, almost like DJ-set-type experience.
At Number Two, we have the new Natalia Lafourcade album, Cancionera. If Natalia is dropping a record, you know it's going to be one of the best of the year because her songwriting chops and her incredible vocal abilities shine through every time without fail.
And at Number One, I want to shout out the new Mon Laferte album, FEMME FATALE, where she brings us on a series of Latin jazz tunes with just mind-blowing, over-the-top vocal performances, where she is just going hard as she possibly can for almost every track.
