All right, say something nice about the new Tame Impala album everyone seems to disagree on.
"'Dracula' is a great Halloween song."
I agree. Personally, that's my standout from the album. It's fun, it's groovy, it's a little spooky.
"The cover is extremely sweet. I haven't listened to it other than one song, but my partner really liked it."
Well, if your partner's happy, you're happy, I guess. It is a cute cover, that's true.
"Half the bass lines sound like Thriller."
I mean, depending on how you take that, that could be a very good thing. And Thriller is not a bad thing to reference.
"Half of the songs are bangers and longer tracks get into you with a few listens."
I mean, look, anything that's going in a dance direction like Kevin was attempting to on that record, it should be immersive. It should lock you in.
"Family Guy mentioned 10 out of 10 just for that."
I mean, personally, not my criteria, but why not?
"I like the fact that he played around with that little reggaeton rhythm. I like the fact that in a mainstream leaning album, there are two seven plus minute songs with not many hooks or drops."
"You're wrong about it, and it's pretty good. It clears Sleep Token."
Okay, well, I mean, I'm not going to disagree with that.
What do you think?
