Why is JPEGMAFIA like this? Look, if it wasn't clear at this point, I love JPEGMAFIA as a rapper, as a songwriter, as a producer. I think he's made some of the most game-changing hip-hop of the past 10 years. But, truth be told, in my eyes, his last album cycle was not his strongest, and a lot of his extracurriculars during that album cycle were kind of a distraction from the music, the drama, the interviews, the beeps, the confrontational Tweets.

And while, in most cases, I definitely appreciate and love PEGGY's in-your-face attitude about things, recently he took to Twitter again after deactivating for a minute to remind his fans that he hates them. Saying that he would "like to apologize for some things," and then going on to sarcastically apologize for the way he dresses, which he thinks makes people feel insecure.

Continues with the sarcasm, saying sorry for rapping about sleeping with women, and a host of other things he doesn't mean. But where he is sincere is where he says, "I want to apologize for some people in this fanbase. Some of you are genuinely strange, and think that because I rapped about anime 20 years ago, it means I'm an expert on whatever weird part of the internet you're in."

But I don't know where this is coming from, because it's been weeks since I've seen a trending conversation somewhere on the internet about JPEGMAFIA. So where and why people are outwardly hating on him these days, prior to these tweets, I don't know. Either way, though, I wish he would just chill out.
