LOVE THESE ALBUMS 💛

Oh yeah, hey, what's going on? It's Uncle Music over here, and it's time for me to go over three albums I have been enjoying a whole lot lately.

Yeah, we're gonna kick things off with the new Tinashe album, Popstar. What do you know? She did it. The girl came out with her best album to date. Banger after banger after banger, kind of flowing into each other in a really quick succession. Very fun range of quirky, futuristic fusions of R&B and pop. Great flow, great production, great lyrics, memorable hooks. What more could you really ask for?

Next, shout out to the new Protomartyr album, Hotel Usona. Definitely the most ambitious and heavily arranged project the band has come out with yet. Their most topically urgent record as well, as a lot of the songs on this thing deal in some pretty social-political topics. It is an emotionally and conceptually heavy album with a lot of horns, strings, and pianos elevating the emotional impact of the band's already kind of dark, moody brand of post-punk.

And then finally, I will give a shout-out to the new Alex Cameron album, Late to Set. Banger album from Alex that, honestly, it did take me a minute to really fully appreciate because of how subtle it is, because of how minimal some of the production is. It still really is one of the man's most thoughtful albums to date, with some stellar anthems on it and, of course, you know, his trademark weirdo charisma and swagger.

So there you go, some new music that, you know, I'm really loving.

What do you think?
