JID God Does Like Ugly BEST & WORST TRACKS

The new JID album is out now. What's the best track on it? What's the worst?

@vampslime2: "Best is 'For Keeps', heavenly beat, and I love how he's appreciating his influence. And worst is 'WRK', just not my favorite, to be honest.

No, "For Keeps" is for sure an amazing closer. The way he just talks about his progression on that track, how appreciative he sounds the entire time, and the way he describes it, it really takes you back there with him.

@ShArPi3: Best song: 'What We On'. Worst song, 'K-Word'.

Worst song "K-Word", which maybe not everyone would vibe with that track because of its very slow pacing and dramatic instrumentation. It is, I think, one of the more theatrical tracks on the record. But best "What We On" is an interesting pick because of what complaints I have seen of the album. I feel like a lot of people are just saying, Oh, he just does a bunch of commercial tracks in the middle of the record, a few of which I think are actually some of the best on the album. Like the Ty Dolla $ign cut is amazing.

@SamiiQc_ "Best is 'Sk8', pure banger with the production and the lyrics. Worst: I think 'Gz' u found it boring."

Also, don't forget how mind-blowing the EarthGang feature on ["Sk8"] is. They add so much to the track.

@aubreyhaech: "The opener goes hard. The beat switch had me getting up and pacing around the room."

No, the changes and the Westside Gunn appearances on the opening track are nuts. It is a track that made me wonder how much experimental hip hop, generally, JID is into, because there are some moments on that instrumental that are genuinely weird and almost like industrial.

What do you think?
