I Hope AI "Music" Fails

You guys remember Suno, right? The AI generation music company, which is currently engrossed in, I think, multiple lawsuits right now.

Yeah, apparently, despite the thievery this platform has engaged in of other people's art and creative ideas for quite a while now, they are currently allegedly making $100 million a year in annual revenue, and they are currently pushing for a multimillion-dollar funding round that could bring the valuation of the company up to $2 billion.

Do I even have to explain why this is insane? Not only does this feel like yet another leg of what is essentially a growing AI bubble in the economy right now, but again, you still have musicians and rights holders out here trying to get their money after getting ripped off by this company, while we are still being told that to this day, the super meager pitiful amount of money that many artists are getting annually through their streaming revenue.

What it's at currently is where it's going to be. It's as good as the industry can do. It's just where market forces have put us at, and there's no more money to be giving to or paying artists. And yet the labels are making tons of money.

There's millions and millions and millions of dollars to put in crap like this. There's so much cash, and there's so much profit, and there's so much revenue in ripping artists off. But when it comes to actually paying and supporting artists, there's no money to be found.

What do you think?
