We have some bad but predictable news coming out of the DOJ vis-a-vis Ticketmaster, a story we have covered on this channel before, not only in terms of the monopoly that Ticketmaster has over the live music market today, but also the market of skyrocketing ticket prices and culture of digital scalping that, according to a DOJ study, they engaged in.

Well, now the latest info is any chance of them being broken up is pretty much over and done as the company's wheelings and dealings within the Trump administration and the DOJ has pretty much allowed them to slip through, really just wriggle out of any regulatory arm of the government, remaining not only unscathed, but still very much fully capable of ripping you off for every concert that you want to see through their platform.
