We need to talk about streaming failing musicians, failing artists in yet another way.
This is from DJ Sabrina The Teenage DJ who's a very talented and prolific electronic music artist, if you don't know, who is coming out with a new project, but apparently is getting some pushback for it.
She is saying that her release has guideline conflicts because she's essentially dropping a seamless album where all the different songs are segueing into each other.
Here we have Apple Music who is essentially punishing her and saying, "No, you actually can't put the album out. Sorry."
How are artists supposed to live or do anything in music or succeed in music doing anything other than just dropping 90-second to two-minute slop tunes where you've completely murdered song structure because now every artist, in order to make a buck, has to write the most watered down tracks possible.
What do you think?
