It's time for some new music. It's Uncle Music here, here to talk about some new music. Let's go!
First off, I have really been enjoying the new Bill Callahan album. He is back with his first record in a few years, and honestly, I think it's like one of his best in about a decade, with lots of jammy, winding, immersive, slightly psychedelic instrumentals and a lot of meta commentary coming off the lyrics. And frankly, some of Bill's funniest songs ever.
Also been enjoying the new slayr Half Blood deluxe album. I really do think that slayr is one of the best artists to come out of the underground recently, with not only an appreciation for the style's harsh and saturated and hard-hitting production, but also the melodicism coming through in his songwriting and his vocal leads is really impressive.
And finally, shout out to the new James Blake album Trying Times, a mystifying gorgeous, forward-thinking combination of art pop and soul. And he actually comes through with some really creative ways of kind of working samples and little interpolations and bits of musical inspiration from other tracks and source material on these songs too.
But yeah, those are the albums I have been enjoying as of late. The reviews are also out for these records too. See you in the next video. Love ya. Yeah.
What do you think?
