Yves Tumor denies abuse allegations

Last week, reports of sexual assault and other allegations against experimentalist Yves Tumor started to circulate online. Today, Tumor has acknowledged and denied the allegations.

The allegations began on the Yves Tumor subreddit, where images of bruises were shared alongside the following caption:

"Shanti (Yves Tumor) sexually assaulted someone close to me last week
She has told me he forcefully groped her multiple times, bit her neck, held her down and stepped on her head with his shoe, amongst other things
I've known him for years, considered him a friend and I never thought I'd ever have to post something like this
It's been reported to the police, but people should know"

Since then, others shared their own experiences with Tumor on Reddit and X (formerly Twitter). Musician Angel Money shared a video of Tumor groping her on-camera, while the artist Kidä, who featured on Tumor's "Lovely Sewer," posted an X thread sharing details of his unprofessional and abusive behavior ("He berated, mocked, and taunted his bandmates constantly. Everyone around him was walking on eggshells"). Others on the subreddit shared secondhand experiences ("He groped a friend of mine at a rave"), and have cross-posted others' stories.

Tumor commented on the allegations via a now-deleted Instagram story: "100% untrue and also completely heartbreaking. will be taking extreme legal action." He is set to go on tour at the beginning of next month, starting at Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival over Labor Day Weekend.
