UK's very own YT has finally announced his latest upcoming project OI! to be released next Friday, March 28.
After graduating from Oxford, the rapper has been making hit after hit anticipating his next project. His two latest singles, the hypnotic "Prada or Celine" and underground anthem "Black & Tan" with Lancey Foux, will be on the upcoming record. YT has also been making moves outside of his solo material, most notably co-producing Jim Legxacy's "Father" and collaborating with Plaqueboymax on Twitch with the viral track "1000 (spin again)."
The project will follow 2023's #STILLSWAGGIN and a short before-style mixtape #B4OI!. UK underground giants and frequent collaborators Fimiguerro, Len, and Lancey Foux will also make an appearance on the record. YT has delved deep into the Y2K aesthetic, evidently shown through his music videos utilizing the imagery of nostalgic frutiger metro ads in 480p music videos. While 'underground' has become more evocative of a style rather than a metric, YT embodies the concept of an outsider artist while still playing into popular SoundCloud styles: characteristically young and wistfully online.
