Von Boldt releases two surprise Frank Sinatra covers to celebrate Halloween

Sin City goth rocker Von Boldt has released two surprise covers of the Frank Sinatra classics in his own vintage style as a Halloween treat.

Check out his renditions of "I"m A Fool To Want You" and "Autumn Leaves" below:

Stripped down and ominously his own, Von Boldt's covers are years in the making, as the Velvet Chains rhythm guitarist has been known for covering the Chairman of the Board live for quite some time.

Von Boldt commented on the tracks:

"You start to realize after a while that some ghosts don't just bang on the walls or rearrange your furniture. They hum old songs in the back of your head when you're up too late. This record, 'Autumn Leaves'—it's two Sinatra cover songs, sure, but it's really a postcard from somewhere between heaven and a hangover. I didn't want to just sing songs his songs, I wanted to drag 'em through the dark and torture them as they have me for so many years."

Hailing from Las Vegas in 2021, Von Boldt is the aural outlet for multi-instrumentalist James Von Boldt. Originally a horror punk/thrash metal studio project called The Night Stalker, Haunt frontman Trevor Church convinced Boldt to hit the road with his rotating crew of misfits, and the rest is history.

Von Boldt has had a slew of musicians throughout the years help him wreak havoc with his live act, including longtime collaborator and former child actress Lisa Foiles (Nickelodeon's All That, etc.).
