The FireAid wildfire benefit concert, held Thursday night at L.A.'s Kia Forum and Intuit Dome, brought together a star-studded lineup of musicians, actors, and activists to support those affected by the recent wildfires.

Green Day opened the evening with their 2009 hit “Last Night on Earth,” joined by Billie Eilish, who delivered an acoustic performance with her brother Finneas later in the evening. Following the band's performance, actor Billy Crystal, who lost his home in the Palisades fire, took the stage. Wearing the clothes he evacuated in, Crystal shared his personal experience and announced a major donation of $1 million from U2, matched by Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and his wife, Connie Snyder.

The night continued with performances from Alanis Morissette, who sang “Thank U,” and Anderson.Paak, who brought out Dr. Dre for an iconic performance of “California Love.” 81-year-old Joni Mitchell made a rare appearance, serenading the crowd, while Dawes, including band members Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith (whose family was directly impacted by the fires), performed “Time Spent in Los Angeles.” A surprise reunion between Stephen Stills and Graham Nash followed, with the duo performing the timeless “Teach Your Children.”

Actor Samuel L. Jackson kicked off the Intuit Dome portion of the show, praising first responders and introducing Pasadena firefighter Chien Yu, who tragically lost his home in the Eaton Fire. Rod Stewart followed, performing “Forever Young” and Curtis Mayfield’s “People Get Ready,” before John Mayer took the stage with his cover of Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin’.”

Earth, Wind & Fire palyed “September,” and John Fogerty joined The Black Crowes for a version of “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash also made an appearance for a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Going to California.”

Gracie Abrams grew up in the Palisades, so has a special connection to the area. She performed “I Love You, I’m Sorry” and a cover of Counting Crows' “A Long December.” No Doubt closed the show at the Forum with their hit “Just A Girl.”

Other highlights included Stevie Nicks dedicating “Landslide” to the Santa Rosa firefighters who saved her home and Katy Perry played “Rise” along with the Pasadena Chorale, before hitting "Roar", and “California Girls".

Fans at the Intuit Dome were in for a huge surprise as they experienced what felt like a bit of a Nirvana reunion. The band’s three surviving members — Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, and Pat Smear — delivered renditions of some classic hits alongside an impressive lineup of guest vocalists.

They kicked off their set with a roaring version of “Breed”, featuring St. Vincent on vocals. Next, the band performed “School” with the help of longtime friend Kim Gordon, bringing an intense energy to the stage. Joan Jett also joined the group to sing “Territorial Pissings”.

As the band's performance drew to a close, a vibe shift took over as Grohl’s daughter, Violet, stepped up to the mic for a more serene rendition of “All Apologies”, an apt track given the last time we heard from the Foo Fighters founder.

The concert also saw Lil Baby play a couple of tracks. Red Hot Chili Peppers delivered the California-centric "Dani California" and "Californication", while Olivia Rodrigo played her hit songs, “Drivers License” and "Deja Vu". Stevie Wonder showed up to play the classic, "Love’s in Need of Love Today" before launching into "Superstition" and "Higher Ground" with Sting.

Lady Gaga graced the stage and sat at the grand piano decked in all black for a crooning rendition of "Shallow" and "Always Remember Us This Way" before debuting a new song she wrote for the event, "All We Need Is Time".

The event was even attended by former Vice President Kamala Harris, who attended with her husband Doug Emhoff.

Proceeds from FireAid will benefit a 501(c)(3) fund created for the event, aiming to aid the recovery of fire-affected communities and ensure future preparedness.
