Violet Grohl announces debut album 'Be Sweet To Me', shares new single “595”

Violet Grohl – daughter of Dave Grohl – has announced her debut LP, Be Sweet To Me, arriving May 29 via Auroura Records/Republic Records.

Alongside the announcement comes the new single “595”.

The new single is a sly, slightly eerie track sparked by a vintage T-shirt advertising a phone sex hotline. It’s a strange little artifact of a pre-internet world, and Grohl spins it into something darker, digging into themes of power, isolation, and the way desire turns into a product the moment someone figures out how to sell it.

The video, directed by Nikki Milan Houston, plays out like a quiet late-night character study. Grohl sits in the back of a cab as a revolving cast of passengers drifts through: a teary-eyed girl fresh off heartbreak, a leather-clad biker, and a handful of other oddball riders. Meanwhile the driver does his best to keep the chaos contained, giving the whole thing the hazy, slightly surreal feeling of people-watching at 2 am.

Be Sweet To Me was recorded between late 2024 and early 2025 with producer Justin Raisen, known for work with Charli XCX and Kim Gordon, at his home studio. Rather than building the record piece by piece, Raisen pulled together a loose collective of musicians to play through the material together.
