Björk and Rosalía to raise more funds for ocean conservation with vinyl release of "Oral"

Björk's celebrated collaboration with Rosalía is finally coming to vinyl this November. Previously only available digitally, the track will mark its 1-year anniversary with a 12" milky vinyl release also featuring a remix from The Knife's Olof Dreijer on side B.

Dreijer's retooling of the track landed on streaming services in April. Listen to both versions below:

As with the digital release of "Oral", 100% of the profits will go directly to Aegis, the ocean conservation charity co-founded by Björk and other Icelandic activists.

The preservation of Icelandic nature and wild Atlantic salmon threatened by diseased and deformed farmed fish is currently a hot topic in Iceland. A petition of over 40,000 signatures was recently delivered to the Icelandic parliament in support of banning open-net ocean pen salmon farming and the passing of new ocean conservation laws.

Speaking to Pitchfork last November, Björk had this to say about her latest ecological fight: "This is not a sprint, this is like a marathon. This might take five years, so who knows? One of the reasons why I picked this case is because it is still possible to stop the mutant Norwegian salmon. it is still possible to get our fjords back."

In other Rosália news, the Catalan star features on a new track by LISA from BLACKPINK. Watch the video for "NEW WOMAN" below:

The "Oral" vinyl is released on 29 November and is available to pre-order now via Bandcamp.
