Victoria Monét was an extremely successful songwriter for Ariana Grande and others before 2023, when she leveled up into an R&B hitmaker in her own right. The fun, sassy "On My Mama" became her breakthrough single on R&B radio, and its parent album Jaguar II earned two Grammys for Best R&B Album and Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical).

After rebooting the album in a deluxe edition (of course) and a Christmas edition (ha), she's finally unveiling some new music, perhaps from a soon-to-be-announced follow-up.

Monét's new single is "Let Me," another feast of big melodies given lots of room to unfurl in a spacious production, with a catchy, romantically devoted chorus: "Let me be your peace of mind," "Let me be your winter coat," etc.
