Tyler Ballgame signs to Rough Trade Records, promises new music

Nine months on from his debut single "Help Me Out", LA-based, Rhode Island-born singer/songwriter Tyler Ballgame has signed to Rough Trade Records with the promise of new music coming soon.

Writing in a press release announcing the signing, Rough Trade co-managing directors Geoff Travis and Jeannette Lee say: "Hearing Tyler Ballgame sing just reminds us of the tenderness that can exist within the most powerful framework of a human voice. Like Elvis, Roy Orbison, or Harry Nilsson."

“Very pleased to start a working relationship with Rough Trade," Ballgame adds. "Their passion and belief in the music has been evident since day one, and I’m ready to sing my heart out and bring the band’s act of radical presence to stages around the world.”

To celebrate the signing, Rough Trade are highlighting "Help Me Out" as a focus track, adding it to their official Bandcamp page. Watch a live performance of the track below:

Following his appearance at the UK's Great Escape Festival next week, Ballgame has a few additional European dates lined up and a run of US shows opening for The Head and The Heart:
