A wise person once said, "You can't keep a good dog down." And well, you can't keep Twisted Sister from rocking like it was 1984, either.
The iconic rockers are reuniting for the first time since their initial farewell in 2016 for a world tour marking their 50th anniversary.
No dates have been revealed for the 2026 tour, but a press release confirms the worldwide outing. The "I Don't Wanna Take It" rockers tapped Joe Franco to drum in the absence of late drummer A.J. Pero, who died in 2015. Bassist Mark "The Animal" Mendoza will not be touring with the band due to "irreconcilable differences," with Russell Pzütto returning on bass for the tour.
Frontman Dee Snider stated, “If you’re lucky enough to be in a band that people still want to see after fifty years(!), how can you not answer the call? In 2026, Twisted Fucking Sister will hit stages around the world because WE STILL WANNA ROCK!!”
Guitarist Jay Jay French added:
“Beginning on February 2nd, 1976 in a little bar called The Turtleneck Inn in Hunter Mountain, NY, Dee Snider, Eddie Ojeda and I have called ourselves Twisted Sister and stood shoulder to shoulder for nearly five decades, through multiple personnel changes and thousands of performances. We are proud to celebrate a milestone that once felt unthinkable: a 50-year anniversary!! We have created a music and performance legacy that has and will continue to inspire millions of fans around the world. Twisted Forever, Forever Twisted!”

Fellow axeman Eddie Ojeda quipped, “Fifty years on, and Twisted Sister is still the soundtrack for every rebel with a reason, and a reason to turn it up.”
