Twin Peaks fans rejoice: a new book explores all 290 songs from the show and movie

Earlier this month, author and longtime Twin Peaks fan Scott Ryan released Always Music in the Air – The Sounds of Twin Peaks, a new book that dives into all 290 songs featured in David Lynch and Mark Frost’s beloved TV series Twin Peaks and its film counterpart, Fire Walk With Me.

The title takes inspiration from the iconic quote, “Where we’re from, the birds sing a pretty song and there’s always music in the air,” which Ryan uses to open the book’s bio.

Ryan combs through the Twin Peaks archives to uncover rare tracks, including songs with little to no official release, and includes interviews with several musicians featured on the soundtrack. The book also features a brand-new interview with Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost.

You can also check out the latest episode of the Meanwhile: A Twin Peaks Podcast, where host Eric Grissom and Ryan discuss the book in great detail throughout the hour-long episode.
