Trivium have released a long-shelved music video for their 2005 single "Dying in Your Arms", taken from the band's second album Ascendancy.
In a commentary clip uploaded with the video, the band explains The Phantom of the Opera-inspired video was a bit too cringe even for the mall goth standards of the time.
Frontman Matt Heafy elaborates:
"We did a video for 'Dying In Your Arms' about 20 years ago, and the video ended up so bad that our manager said, 'we need to pull this video or your band…' Someone said you should pull this video, because this video is not good. But now, 20 years later, we're like, 'We should watch this. We should show everyone what this is and see how we feel about it.' Because I haven't seen this video in 20 years."
The band is currently on the road with Bullet For My Valentine, as both bands are touring in support of their respective 2005 albums, Ascendancy and The Poison, respectively. Metalcore bands August Burns Red and Bleed From Within are also touring as supporting acts.
