Travis Scott's 'Days Before Rodeo' re-release this Friday alongside new tracks

Fans have eagerly awaited for Travis Scott's breakout mixtape Days Before Rodeo to upload on major streaming services for many years. Two days ago, Scott revealed at Fanatics Fest that Days Before Rodeo would be released to all DSPs soon. The day after, on 18 August, a trailer was uploaded to all his social media, confirming the re-release of his second mixtape - and some new unreleased tracks - this Friday 23 August in honor of its 10th anniversary.

The video is a throwback to 2014, showing Metro Boomin and Scott working on music for Days Before Rodeo as well as archive footage of Scott and Young Thug performing during the Rodeo Tour with Metro as DJ in 2015.

On Instagram he captioned:

"DAYS BEFORE RODEO 10yr ANNIVERSARY BEING CELEBRATED BY FINALLLY RE-RELEASING EVERYWHERE AUGUST 23RD AND MAYBE COUPLE DBR SONGS FROM THAT ERA FROM THE VAULT Travisscott.com more info and shizzzz shsbsbsbsb IM FCKING JUMPING THRU WALLS AHHHH."

There's also new merchandise including three different Days Before Rodeo box sets, a hat, hoodie, standard vinyl, and a deluxe one which includes the new tracks. There is a digital deluxe album of the re-release which has the new unreleased tracks too, and it's labeled as a "TRAVISSCOTT.COM EXCLUSIVE." There's no confirmation if the streaming version will be of this deluxe edition or not.

Mike Dean is reportedly involved in the re-release of Scott's second mixtape as he posted about the project on his Instagram account.

Additionally, a user on Twitter/X was concerned about staining the mixing that Alex Tumay did on the original project, to which Dean answered:

"We respect @alextumay stop the shit starting . You’ll see what’s coming. !!," furthering confirming his involvement on the upcoming re-release.

Good news for everyone who wants to see the 10-time GRAMMY Award-nominated rapper perform for this new release as he answered a fan on Twitter/X teasing on a performance supporting the Days Before Rodeo re-release:

The 12-track mixtape Days Before Rodeo released for free 18 August 2014. It served as a prelude for his debut album Rodeo, released a year after on 4 September 2015. It was never officially disclosed why the mixtape never hit major streaming services, although most fans settled with the reason for it being that many samples couldn't be cleared before release.

2014's Days Before Rodeo tracklist:

1. “Days Before Rodeo: The Prayer”
2. “Mamacita” Feat. Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug
3. “Quintana Pt. 2”
