Tori Amos reveals release date for new album, announces tour

Song-weaver Tori Amos has finally revealed the release date for new album In Times of Dragons, which will surface on the first of May through Universal/Fontana.

Amos has described the project as "a metaphorical story about the fight for Democracy over Tyranny," hinging on today's "non-accidental burning down of democracy in real time."

The project follows Amos' children's book, Tori and the Muses, plus the book's accompanying soundtrack. Amos will support her new record with almost three dozen shows across the U.S., from July to September. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, January 23rd, but a presale will occur two days before, at 10:00 a.m. local time, through Amos' website.

In Times of Dragons is out May 1st. No track listing has yet been revealed. Preorder here.
