London-based songwriter and producer Tom Misch has announced his new album Full Circle, which arrives on March 27th via Beyond The Groove / AWAL Recordings. Misch has shared a soulful and mellow new track as a first glimpse called "Sisters With Me".
You can check out the music video for it below:
"Sisters With Me" is song about the time when Tom was living with his sisters, in their family home for the first time as adults. It was a time that felt both challenging and unexpectedly beautiful. Tom reflects, “It wasn’t my intention to write anything like that but it was probably a bit of subconscious creativity with everything that was going on.”
Full Circle is a departure from the more production-led songwriting MO that made Misch influential over the past decade. For this album, Misch stepped out of the Logic Pro-vacuum and focused on more traditional instrumentation and classical pop songwriting to bring the material to life.
The album was run to tape with a clear intention to achieve specific sounds inspired by the warmth and clarity of ’70s hi-fi records. Collaborators include artist and songwriter Matt Maltese, Ian Fitchuk, and Adam Jaffrey, a key collaborator during the album’s earliest stages. The music for Full Circle was written at several locations: London, Cornwall, Portugal, and Nashville.
