Timothée Chalamet to host and perform on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Continuing their 50th season, Saturday Night Live has just announced the first two hosts and musical guests of 2025. The first episode of Saturday Night Live in 2025 will be hosted on January 18 by Dave Chappelle and feature GloRilla in her debut SNL performance. Timothée Chalamet is also returning the following week, but this time, he’ll double as the musical guest. That episode will air on January 25. Tune in to both episodes at 11:30pm Eastern Standard Time on NBC or Peacock.

This will be Chalamet’s third time hosting the sketch comedy show; he’s previously hosted in 2020 and 2023 with musical guests Bruce Springsteen and boygenius, respectively. He also made a cameo in a music video sketch with Kid Cudi in 2021.

He’s often done music-related sketches, including a surreal sketch where he impersonated Troye Sivan alongside the members of boygenius, a parodied rappers’ roundtable with Pete Davidson, and performing a rap about short kings in his 2023 monologue.

Following his performance as Bob Dylan A Complete Unknown, he may perform covers from the folk artist’s catalog, but no details have been released as of yet.
