When Thee Sacred Souls woke up this morning thinking ahead to the release of their latest single “Waiting on the Right Time”, they probably didn’t expect to see themselves getting a shoutout from Beyoncé in GQ magazine. But, in conversation with journalist Frazier Tharpe for a cover story published today, that’s exactly what she did, calling the SoCal trio “talented and interesting.”

She’s the latest celebrity to come out as a Thee Sacred Souls fan, joining the likes of SZA, Leon Bridges, and Alicia Keys, and unlikely to be the last. Formed just 5 years ago in San Diego, the band’s rapid rise continues on 4 October with the release of their second album Got a Story to Tell via Daptone Records. “Waiting on the Right Time” is third track to be previewed from the album, following “Lucid Girl” and “Live For You” released earlier this summer. Thee Sacred Souls continue to add new dates to their upcoming Live For You Tour, which currently has them on the road through to early March 2025. They are currently in the middle of a sold-out European run, returning to the US later this month for Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, CT. Full list of live dates below:
