On Monday, September 23rd, Spotify announced that The Weeknd now has the most songs on the platform that've reached 1 billion streams. The Weeknd has 18 songs helping him reach this landmark, breaking the tie with Drake who has 17. It was the title track on his fourth album, After Hours, that gave him his 18th song.

The colossal 80s crossover pop hit "Blinding Lights" stands tall as the number one most streamed song, with nearly 4.5 billion streams. "Starboy", featuring the legendary Daft Punk, is the sixth most streamed song on Spotify, with nearly 3.5 billion streams.
The Weeknd has a new album coming out soon called Hurry Up Tomorrow, where he could potentially add even more songs to this historic list. He released his first single from it recently, called "Dancing In The Flames", you can listen to it here:
