The War On Drugs debut self-produced single "Who's That"

Philadelphia rock band The War On Drugs have shared their newest single, "Who's That." The track, which is the band's first offering of new music since 2022, features anthemic swells that evolve through electric guitar and pensive keyboard.

Frontman Adam Granduciel says “It’s a song about trying to love yourself despite things we can’t always control, like the anxiety, depression, and self-doubt that may stand in the way of living the life we truly desire." Listen to the track below, delivered via a Max Flick-directed music video:

The song was written and self-produced at frontman Granduciel's Burbank, California studio. "Who's That," as described by Granduciel, was "written in 10 minutes somewhere between first coffee and school drop-off."

2021 album A Deeper Understanding is the last LP fans have received from the band, in which they've spent the ensuing years playing shows around the world. The War On Drugs took home the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album with their 2017 album A Deeper Understanding, edging out the likes of Metallica, Queens of the Stone Age, and Mastodon.

The War On Drugs have a busy rest of 2026 with festivals such as Austin City Limits and Sea.Hear.Now. Check out all upcoming dates below.
