The War On Drugs announce new live album, share live version of "Burning"

The War on Drugs have announced a brand new live album. Entitled Live Drugs Again, it's out September 13 via Super High Quality Records. The album follows their last live album, Live Drugs, which came out in 2020. The new release's tracklist is pulled from "hundreds of hours of archived recordings."

To celebrate the announcement, they've released a live version of "Burning", from 2014's Lost in the Dream. Listen below:

Lead singer Adam Granduciel says of the live record:

"Live Drugs Again chronicles the evolution of these songs from the studio to stages all over the world, documenting our continued growth as a live band. This series ensures that these versions, and some of our favorite moments on stage, will live on ... We've been doing this for a long time—we’re older, we have families. So when we get on the road, the only two hours that matter are when we’re on stage, playing these songs for people. I try to live in that moment pretty intensely.”

According to a press release: "The initial Live Drugs Again 2xLP vinyl pressing comes in a tip-on style gatefold jacket with a 4-panel pullout poster. 666 copies were pressed onto transparent blue vinyl. These are mixed in at random with no external signifiers and potentially available at all points of purchase."
