The Strokes have pushed back the release of their long-awaited new album Reality Awaits. Originally expected June 26, the record will now arrive on July 24 via RCA/Cult, giving fans a few extra weeks to wait for the band's latest full-length effort.
Alongside the release date change, the New York indie rock icons have announced a massive hometown show set for October 2 at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens. The bill is stacked with support from Beach House, TV on the Radio, and Fcukers, making it one of the band's biggest hometown events in years.
Fans looking to secure tickets early can take advantage of an artist pre-sale beginning Wednesday, June 17 at 10 a.m. EST. Registration is required to access the pre-sale, while general ticket sales will open the following day, June 18, at 10 a.m. EST through the band's official website.
Several ticket options will be available, including GA, VIP, and VVIP packages. In a nod to their hometown roots, The Strokes are also offering Queens residents a 20% discount on general admission tickets. The offer applies to fans living in zip codes 11368, 11355, 11375, and 11367, and will be available from June 18 through August 30, 2026, or until the allotted tickets are sold out.
The Queens performance will mark The Strokes' first New York City concert since 2023 and arrives in support of Reality Awaits. Before returning home, the band will spend much of the year on the road, with appearances scheduled at major festivals including Outside Lands, Summer Sonic, Just Like Heaven, Shaky Knees, and Sea.Hear.Now, alongside a run of additional tour dates.
