Massachusetts hardcore legends Converge have officially released “Hum of Hurt”, the title track from their upcoming album, out June 5 via Epitaph Records. Notably, the single had only been circulating as a rumor as of yesterday, making its release a confirmation of what fans had been speculating.
“Hum of Hurt” was produced and engineered by guitarist Kurt Ballou, with mastering by Alan Douches. The album features 10 tracks and runs approximately 33 minutes. Watch the video below:
The new album follows Love Is Not Enough, which arrived in February and marked the band’s first mainline studio release since The Dusk In Us. Drummer Ben Koller previously said the band recorded around 27 song ideas during those sessions, with at least 17 fully tracked. Ten of those were used for the February release, so a second album coming this soon makes sense.

Hum of Hurt is out June 5. Pre-order here. Tracklist below:
- Slip the Noose
- Doom in Bloom
- It Only Gets Worse
- Detonator
- I Won’t Let You Go
- It’s Not Up To Us
- Dream Debris
- It Used to Matter
- Hum of Hurt
- Nothing is Over
