Brian D'Addario, one half of the New York group The Lemon Twigs, is set to release his debut solo album Till the Morning on March 20, 2025 via Headstack Records. It comes less than a year after The Lemon Twigs' previous record, A Dream is All We Know, and continues the group's revival of 60s and 70s rock and roll.
D'Addario also released the album's first single, also called "Till the Morning", which you can listen to below.
It'd be incorrect to say Till the Morning is completely divorced from The Lemon Twigs because Michael D'Addario, the other half of the group, contributed vocals and co-produced to the album.
Another key contributor is Stephen Kalinich, a Los Angeles-based poet best known for cowriting the Beach Boys songs "All I Want to Do" and "Be Still", among others. He also recorded the spoken word album A World of Peace Must Come in 1969, which Brian Wilson produced. The record was eventually released nearly 40 years later by Light in the Attic Records in 2008.
Of the new single "Till the Morning", Brian D'Addario says:
It's a love song having to do with those fleeting moments when you grasp something real, amidst all the noise and propaganda. ‘The night is pitch black until the morning.’ Maybe things need to completely collapse before they get better.
