With their debut album Prelude to Ecstasy in contention for this year's Mercury Prize, baroque pop five-piece The Last Dinner Party are back in the spotlight.

Whether they win the £25,000 prize or not come 5 September, the London-based group are keeping the conversation going with a new film – also titled Prelude to Ecstasy – premiering a week later at an as-yet-undisclosed location in London's Soho, and worldwide on YouTube at 8pm BST.

The horror-inspired film finds them once again teaming up with director Harv Frost, who was behind the videos for the singles "The Feminine Urge", "My Lady of Mercy", and "Caesar on a TV Screen". The band dropped a short teaser on social media yesterday evening, and invited fans to enter a lottery for the London screening. Fans have until midnight BST on Thursday (August 29) to register their entry in hopes of being one of the 50 winners to attend.

The Last Dinner Party play Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK this weekend, and have a European tour lined up for October and November. Details below:

The band recently shared a cover of Blondie's "Call Me", recorded for Australian broadcaster Triple J as part of their popular 'Like a Version' series. Watch it below:
