The Killers release new single "Bright Lights" ahead of Vegas residency

The Killers have released a brand new song in the form of "Bright Lights". The Las Vegas-based rock band is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album Hot Fuss with an 8-show Vegas residency starting August 13th and running through the 30th. At the residency, they will be performing Hot Fuss in its entirety, likely alongside other highlights from their discography.

The new song is certainly more in the vein of their Springsteen-indebted arena rock of their last couple albums but with a dash of the swagger and size of their earlier work, replete with triumphant drums and brass, and eventually choir vocals.

The last album from The Killers was 2021's Pressure Machine. Since then, the band had recorded some material for a followup but scrapped it when lead singer Brandon Flowers felt like it was "authentic" for them anymore.

After their Vegas residency concludes, the band has few more shows (especially festival dates) lined up.
