In the aftermath of international pop superstar Taylor Swift purchasing the masters to her first six albums, the 2017 album reputation hit the #1 spot on the US iTunes album chart. Along with this achievement came a boost in sales for her entire discography, with every album including the "Taylor's Versions" taking up a spot on the chart.

As one of the only albums not yet given its own "Taylor's Version", it follows that reputation would wind up as the one taking the top spot, considering the perceived guilt some Swifties felt surrounding the streaming and/or purchase of her music preceding Swift's acquisition.
As said by Swift herself on her website, the rerecording of reputation was already a daunting task, writing in a letter to her fans: "The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life, and I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to remake it."
So while many a Swiftie might be disappointed about the indefinite hiatus on repTV, maybe it's for the best to keep it in the era it came from.
