Taylor Swift is the youngest person to be inducted into Songwriters Hall Of Fame

36-year-old Taylor Swift just became the youngest person to ever be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Alanis Morrissette, Kenny Loggins, KISS' Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Terry Britten & Graham Lyle, and Walter Afanasieff are also part of the class of 2026, the organization announced on Monday.

LL Cool J, P!nk, David Byrne, and the Go-Go's are among the artists who were nominated, but didn't make the list this year.

Each prospective inductee gets to choose five songs for consideration. According to Variety, Swift's are "All Too Well (10-minute version)", "Blank Space", "Anti-Hero", "Love Story" and "The Last Great American Dynasty".

Morrissette and Loggins are, of course, inducted based on their successful solo work, while Stanley and Simmons count on KISS' hits, like "Rock And Roll All Nite" and "I Love It Loud".

The other songwriters are collaborators of big pop stars. Walter Afanasieff has worked closely with Mariah Carey and is responsible for the ever-celebrated "All I Want for Christmas Is You", along with "My All" and "Hero".

Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, an R&B master, also had a hand on one of Mariah's biggest hits, "Obsessed", as well as Rihanna's breakout track "Umbrella" and one of Beyoncé's more successful recent singles, "Break My Soul".

Terry Britten & Graham Lyle, famous for their work with the late Tina Turner, are the co-authors of her tracks "What’s Love Got To Do With It" and "We Don't Need Another Hero".

Swift, Morrissette, and the other inductees are now part of a group that includes celebrated songwriters like Brian Wilson, Bruce Springsteen, Carole King, Tom Petty, Missy Elliott, Prince, Sade, Jay-Z, and many others. The organization was established in 1969.
