Last night, Tuesday June 24, Taylor Swift gave her first public performance since closing out her legendary, record-breaking Eras Tour.
During a Kane Brown set at Nashville's Brooklyn Bowl, Taylor Swift surprised the audience with an exciting performance of her 1989-era classic, "Shake It Off".
The special appearance was part of Tight Ends and Friends, a benefit concert founded by a group of football players including Chiefs tight end and Taylor Swift boyfriend, Travis Kelce. The announced lineup included country stars such as Jordan Davis, Chase Rice, Sophia Scott and Graham Barham, but the organizers also promised that a few "surprise guests" were in store. Tickets reportedly sold out on Monday when Taylor Swift was spotted in Nashville alongside Kelce.
Towards the end of Kane Brown's set, he announced that he had a "really, really, really special guest" before passing his guitar to the megastar.
Swift told the audience that she was planning on enjoying the show from afar but then thought to herself, "How loud could this place get? Theoretically, how loud could the singing be in here?" She then dedicated her performance to “our favorite players who are going to play, and these are the tight ends," before launching into an energetic rendition of "Shake it Off" with the help of Brown on percussion and back-up vocals.
She ended her performance by thanking the band, "who just figured out that we were going to play that three minutes ago".
