Veteran emo originators Sunny Day Real Estate have released the schedule for a new series of tour dates across North America set to take place during the summer and early fall of 2025. After their come back in 2022, which led way to their first tour in over a decade, the band has stayed active, leading up to a 30th-anniversary tour last year for their debut album, Diary.
During that time, they also released their first new track in a decade, “Novum Vetus,” and participated in various festivals and events, including headlining the first version of the Best Friends Forever festival in Las Vegas. They also joined Dia de los Deftones, the titular band's Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) event in San Diego.
This upcoming tour, though, intends to reach areas they haven’t been able to reach in their previous reunion jaunts. Unlike the last tour that mainly focused on Diary, this new leg will feature a mix of songs spanning their whole discography. The tour will kick off in Montreal on May 28 and will include stops in major cities such as Toronto, Albany, Portland, and more through early June. Following a couple of performances in the UK at the Outbreak Fest in London and Manchester, the band will return to the U.S. in September to complete their tour with additional shows in places like Tacoma, Boise, and Phoenix, ending on a performance on September 24 in Vancouver.
Pre-sale tickets for the tour have already become available with an artist pre-sale that began on March 11 at noon local time. Fans can access this with the code SDRE25 on the band’s official website. A Live Nation pre-sale for select dates starts today, March 12 at 10:00 AM local time, using code FUNKY. General ticket sales are set to open for the public on March 14 at 10:00 AM local time through Ticketmaster.
