Sugar releases new single "Keep Looping"

Bob Mould's '90s power-pop power trio Sugar reactivated in 2025 for the first time in 31 years to unveil a blazing new single, "House of Dead Memories." They're currently on their first tour in just as many decades while continuing to drop new tunes, first "Long Live Love" earlier this year and now a third new song, "Keep Looping," which probably rocks harder than the first two combined.

According to the press release, Bob Mould says it's about AI:

"Living in SF, I have a love/hate relationship with AI. It’s bringing my city back to life, but at what cost to society and the environment? And do we trust the current regime to do the right thing with this new tech? The new song has more snarl, and the lyrics say it all: A touch of dopamine. The steady beat of the drum. Get used to the constant hum of the Lie."
