Singer, songwriter, producer, violin warrior Sudan Archives (aka Brittney Parks) is back with a brand new album. Hot on the heels of still-fresh single "DEAD", Parks has revealed her upcoming third album, THE BPM, will be out October 17 on Stones Throw.

With the news comes a double-dose of new songs, as Parks has released two singles in anticipation of the record. Catch "MY TYPE" (which comes with a Luke Orlando-directed video) and "YEA YEA YEA" below:

A press release accompanying the album announcement promises that the new record looks to the future, whereas her first two gazed back at the past. Fittingly, THE BPM sees Parks inhabiting a new "character" of sorts called Gadget Girl. She's described as "technologically advanced," who embraces tech and uses it as a source of strength.

Parks explains a bit, saying, "I was never the girl in a band in high school – I could only express myself for the first time when I got my first iPad and started making beats on it, and when I got my first electric violin. I’m all gadget girled out now, but I’ve never felt so free as a human."

Musically, the album is said to explore "Jersey club to contemporary global dance musics and experimental beatwork."

Of new single "MY TYPE", Parks describes it as her first "rap rap song," saying "The song is kind of flirty and corny and sexy, because I’m hyping up my friends and also saying 'These are the types of girls I like.' It’s also hinting on sexuality – are these just friends, or women I’m in love with?"

Parks will also be strutting out on tour this fall, with some of her biggest European headliner dates yet. Check those out down below.
