Legendary Seattle band Soundgarden has announced its first show since November of 2025. The grunge icons will perform at Lumen Field during the Seattle Seahawks' season opener against the New England Patriots on September 9th.
Their last show, which was at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, was only the fourth official show that the band has played since the sudden death of frontman Chris Cornell in 2017.
The group's halftime performance will feature Taylor Momsen from The Pretty Reckless and Mike McCready of Pearl Jam.
The band wrote via Instagram on Tuesday:
"Soundgarden, featuring Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless, and Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, will be performing at halftime of the NFL’s season opener in Seattle on Wednesday, September 9th. The game is a Super Bowl LX rematch between the champion Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. GO HAWKS!!"
