Nashville punkers Snooper have announced their brand new record, Worldwide. Out October 3 via Third Man Records, the LP follows the band's 2023 acclaimed record Super Snõõper.
To coincide with the album's announcement, the band has also release the title track as the leading single. Check out the DIY-style music video below:
The song is about the band's sudden rise of popularity. The video is apparently partially inspired by those hydraulic press videos on YouTube.
According to the press release, Snooper feels that Worldwide is their proper debut album. Super Snõõper was a collection of re-recorded songs the band had previously worked on, whereas Worldwide is a batch of brand new songs written exclusively for the album.
Snooper found themselves in Los Angeles recording with John Congleton (St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, Explosions in the Sky). They hadn't worked together before, but Congleton was a fan and wanted to make something happen. “The whole idea behind this record was experimentation and change,” says Connor Cummins, the group's guitarist and founding member.
This fall, Snooper will be supporting The Hives on tour. You can check out the full list of dates below.
