Snoop Dogg apologizes for homophobic 'Lightyear' comments

After a controversial appearance on the "It's Giving" podcast, rapper Snoop Dogg is attempting to make amends following homophobic comments he made concerning the briefly featured lesbian couple in the 2022 Pixar film, Lightyear.

In the interview, Snoop admitted that he was "like, scared to go to the movies now" as part of a story in which his grandchildren expressed confusion at the gay couple during what should have been a simple trip to the cinema.

Word spread like wildfire, and Snoop is taking to Instagram comment sections to try and extinguish the situation. "My bad for not knowing the answers for a 6 year old. Teach me how to learn. I’m not perfect," was the comment he left on one Hollywood Unlocked video discussing the issue.

There has been no word at this time on whether he ever found an answer for the six year-old in the years following the release of Lightyear.
