Snocaps announce their live debut with just six tour dates

Dan Weiss

On Friday, indie-rockers got their reunion of dreams when a surprise, self-titled full-length from sisters Allison (Swearin') and Katie (Waxahatchee) Crutchfield materialized under the name Snocaps, a supergroup that also features young dad-rock megastar MJ Lenderman and big-deal producer Brad Cook. (It's also good.) The Crutchfield sisters haven't played in a band together since they were the minor legends P.S. Eliot at the tail-end of the 2000s, who were a bit scrappier and punkier (also awesome).

Because all of these people more or less do what they want, and at least two of them are very famous solo stars in their own right, there's no telling how long this pop-up band will last. So you might want to catch them at one of the six December dates they just announced, with a different opener at each stop, most notably the also-buzzy troubadours Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band at their second NYC date.

Below are the first shows Snocaps will ever play, and who knows if there will be any after.

12/01 Chicago, IL @ Thalia Hall (with Cloakroom)
12/02 Chicago, IL @ Thalia Hall (with Graham Hunt)
12/04 Los Angeles, CA @ Teragram Ballroom (with Slippers)
12/05 Los Angeles, CA @ Teragram Ballroom (with Mike Krol)
12/07 New York, NY @ Bowery Ballroom (with Brennan Wedl)
12/08 New York, NY @ Bowery Ballroom (with Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band)
