NBC has announced the next handful of Saturday Night Live hosts and performers, as the show prepares to return to air this weekend. Following the November 2nd episode with John Mulaney and Chappell Roan, Bill Burr will host for the second time, alongside musical guest mk.Gee. It will be the first episode after the U.S. election on November 5th.

Then on November 16th Charli XCX will make her hosting debut. It will be her third time being on the show as a musical guest however, having performed in support of her albums “Sucker” in 2014, and “Crash” in 2022. Charli XCX has already featured into this season as a character when Bowen Yang impersonated her during the September 28th episode, in a sketch where she has her own talk show.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe Charli XCX announced she would be taking a hiatus from music to focus on acting. The singer already has a handful of projects in the pipeline, including a starring role alongside Barbie Ferreira and Dacre Montgomery in an American remake of the french horror film Faces of Death
